August 24, 2016 First Email from Hermana Green
MOM HIIIIIIII. I am here safe and sound! I've already made great friends both sisters and elders. I just met my MTC President's wife and she speaks lots of english so that's nice. Pday is on Thursdays, and any letters or packages have to go directly to my mission, I guess it takes a while, but send them nonetheless!
Our first official p-day is next week, so I won't be able to write tomorrow. We just had our first meal (don't worry I took a picture of it) and it was really good! So, just like we predicted, everyone is only speaking spanish to me, so that's....nice. Haha. There are four sisters and four elders, and we are already so close. ALSO WE GOT PULLED OVER ON THE WAY TO THE MTC HAHAHAHAH. The drivers here are CRAZY. I am so glad I am not driving haha.
I love you all so so so so so so so much and miss you all so much. I am already loving it, the people are so nice. I can't believe this is happening! It doesn't feel real. we aren't allowed to use the elevator and we have to use the stairs and I am actually out of breath typing this so that's great. The plane rides were kind of terrible, my back hurts alot and there were SO MANY BABIES CRYING it was terrible. But I am trucking along. I've gotta go, but I love you and Dad and everyone who has been praying and supporting me very much.

ps one of the elders that's here kind of reminds me of dustin, looks and personality wise and we get along well, also this other elder reminds me of a combination of both morgan and joey, he sounds EXACTLY (Kali was so excited she pressed send before she finished her email)

ReplyDeleteIt was good to read all that's going on over there in Dominican Republic since you've been there! I'm trying to wrap all this around my head since you & Natalie were in the same YW classes & Girls Camp, etc. I KNOW you are being blessed w/your language skills (gift of tongues) because of your faithfulness, your petitions to the Lord and your testimony. Can you give me your actual mailing address, in addition to your email address? I know I saw your email address b4 but I can't find it. Remember, you CAN do hard things! It will prepare you for other HARD things in your future. It's all part of Heavenly Father's Plan. It's how we grow/progress here on earth. Well, keep your chin up & we love hearing from you!
